Making disciples: Head, Hands, Heart
An essential part of your job as a church is making disciples and equipping your congregation and staff to make disciples. Most churches do a fantastic job of teaching and sending (head and hands), but have a more difficult job of connecting the work they are doing with the heart - the “being” portion of discipleship. But this is essential - the WHY we do what we do as disciples. The why is guided by the relationship we have with Jesus. A contemplative perspective can help your leaders, staff, and congregants to connect with their own WHY, to infuse the learning and the work with the reality of Jesus shaping their lives. This is the work of formation, and we would love to talk with you about what your church is seeking to bring more formation work into your church’s life.
